Britain's 10-yearly national census to be axed

Postby Elliott » 03 Sep 2013, 01:15

This isn't definite yet, but an announcement is expected some time this month.

It is difficult for me to believe that this is happening for any reason other than to hide what is happening in our country, to our society, to us. The most recent census, which will now presumably be the last one ever conducted, provided the white British (the natives of this country and until 1948 99% of the population) with the shocking truth which we had long suspected: that we are no longer the majority in our own capital city. And we weren't happy about that.

Without a national census, we will have no way of knowing what the situation is, only glimpses of what the future might hold. Back in February the loathsome Vince Cable MP voiced his desire that race/ethnicity/religion statistics be excluded from the census. Well, now people like him have got their wish.
