The Great War

Postby Gavin » 22 Oct 2013, 17:55

I mentioned some time ago that I worked my way through the famous twenty-six part ITV series The World at War. This is just to say that there is an equivalent for the First World War - The Great War - and it may be viewed for free on YouTube here. I think these documentaries go some way to helping us understand the context of great wars of the past, and - though we are in many respects in unprecedented times - through understanding what happened in the past we might be better able to predict what will happen in the future.
