How to display images in posts

Postby Gavin » 01 Dec 2013, 11:52

You can upload images as attachments to your posts. By default they will appear below the post but you can also use a button to place them inline.

You can also use the "img" button to link to an off-site image which will display inline. It will display at its native size. That's why I created the "imgd' (deluxe) button which enables you to set a display width and height, and will float the image to the left so that others may go beside it. Hover your mouse over the button to see a tooltip showing how to use it. Define width and height as numbers indicating pixels and try to preserve rough aspect ratio.

Particularly unpleasant or graphic images should be linked to off-site with warnings if it is necessary to show them at all - most others can be embedded with a size appropriate to their importance to the post.
